THE Halston, a renowned hotel based in the heart of Carlisle, is gearing up to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Co-owner Dominique Harrison views the occasion as not just an anniversary, but a celebration of the establishment’s progression, an array of unforgettable guests, and the dedicated staff that has contributed to its longevity and success.

The transformation of the former post office into The Halston was a labour of love and dedication.

Dominique and her partner Simon teamed up with Robin and Joanne Graham, investing their hearts and souls into the renovation project.

"It was an exciting yet challenging journey," said Dominique.

"But amidst the chaos, our vision of seamlessly blending a luxury hotel with a sense of community never wavered."

Throughout The Halston's journey, Dominique praised the significant role played by the team of skilled craftsmen who renovated the building and the committed staff who brought it to life.

"Their commitment has been crucial to our success," she said.

"For many, The Halston is more than just a place to stay; it's a home-away-from-home experience.

"Our guests become part of our extended family, drawn to the warmth and hospitality that permeate every corner of our establishment."

During the COVID-19 pandemic, The Halston demonstrated resilience by swiftly adapting its services.

Despite obstacles, the hotel remained focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences by offering solutions like a pop-up coffee shop, takeaway meals, and accommodations for key workers.

The recent expansion of The Halston includes exciting new amenities such as a state-of-the-art gym and six additional hotel-style rooms at 2 Cecil Street.

Visitors can also look forward to various events, including the monthly Bartons Supper Club, The Summer Garden Sessions featuring live music, and DJs at Penny Blue.

To celebrate its 10th birthday, The Halston is hosting a fabulous event on Friday, July 5th, starting at 6.30pm.

Guests are invited to enjoy live entertainment, surprises, delicious food, and cocktails inspired by the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.

As The Halston toasts to the past decade, Dominique expressed gratitude to loyal patrons, dedicated team members, and the vibrant Carlisle community.

"Here's to another ten years of unforgettable memories and cherished moments," she said.
