Carlisle Police have made two arrests, one for drink driving and another for drug possession.

The first offender was reported by the public for erratic driving. After investigations, it was discovered his alcohol levels were over three times the limit.

"He spent a long night in the cells before a court date with a judge," a spokesperson said.

In reaction to concerns about local drug activity in Upperby, a successful stop-and-search led to seized Class B drugs and a soon-to-be-processed offender.

The police also prepared reports to share with local housing providers around drug-associated antisocial behaviour.

Warnings around driving standards were given out throughout the shift.
