FOUR Whitehaven players have been named in international teams ahead of the Rugby League World Cup this Autumn.

Following their impressive performances in this year's Championship for the West Cumbrian side the four players have been called up to three of the national teams that will compete in this years epic showcase of rugby league.

Will Evans, who has been in the Whitehaven squad for the 2022 season, made 26 appearances for the club, scoring eight tries.

Evans made his international debut mid-season for Wales in their Test against France and will go on to represent the side in this year's world cup.

Hooker Curtis Davies, was sent to Whitehaven on short term loan from neighbours Workington Town mid season, staying on at the club to see out the 2022 season will also play for Wales in this autumn.

Popular Whitehaven prop Guy Graham has been called up to the Scotland squad ahead of the world cup.

Guy first came to Whitehaven RL in 2020, with limited rugby league experience but bringing a wealth from the rugby unions Newcastle Falcons, ultimately earning him his national call-up. 

Fan favourite Ryan King will continue his stay in the Italy squad throughout this years world cup.

The Italian international has made 37 appearances for Whitehaven since he joined the club in 2021, scoring 17 tries with 14 tries coming in 27 appearances in 2022 ending the season at the club’s leading try scorer.
